Why My Cards are Better Than My Intuition.

I have been reading Tarot cards since I was 18. Believe me when I say that no one was more surprised than I was when I found that they were usually right. You could say it was all just fun in the beginning, and then I realized that they were a real tool that actually helped people.

After getting my first deck, I went through a phase where I bought other intuitive tools (or got them as gifts) but they were not as reliable. The pendulum I bought was accurate sometimes, but I learned that it told me what people wanted to hear. AKA it lied. I figure this out when every time I tried to predict how many kids my cousin and his girl would have it told me none, only to find out she was pregnant, and they weren't ready to tell anyone yet.

You know what, this will happen when using any intuitive tool, even my trusty cards. If you came to me, but really did not want to see the truth, the cards will tell you what you want to hear, but then you may get upset with me for misleading you. This is rare though as most people want to hear the truth.

My intuition... that little psychic voice in my head, no matter how much I have tried to turn up the volume on it, it still remains so quiet that I don't hear it, or mistake it for general background chatter. If it's hard to get me to shut up, try getting my mind to shut up, IMPOSSIBLE! lol!

I have a hard time reading for myself because of this same thing, my intuition is hard to hear, and often tells me what I want to hear. Giving reading on others though... sheer magic! I love reading for a person I've never met because I don't know anything about them, and everything that comes out of my mouth is intuition and interpretation of the cards. The highest compliment I've ever received was when a woman and her friend came to me, and after reading for her, she refused to pay me and walked out. Why? She said it was because I didn't tell her anything she didn't already know.

I smiled, and said, "Yes, but I couldn't have known that about you." The biggest misconception is that the cards tell you the future, but they really don't. They merely hold up a mirror and reflect the situation back at you from a different point of view, and a good dose of what I think about it. Sometimes the mirror shows things that you didn't know, and sometimes it really does show the future.

Recently, a friend of mine posted on her Facebook that her husband had gone missing, and it had been over 12 hours. (If you happen to be reading this, I hope you don't mind that I am using you as an example, but if you do, please let me know, and I will remove this part.) I immediately reached for my cards, because this is one of the reasons I have them.

My intuition was running rampant with all kinds of horrible things, and I was sure he was at the bottom of a hill stuck in a car. I could almost even see it, however, I consulted my cards, and got a whole bunch of "everything's great." This made no sense! So, I dug a little deeper, and then sent a message to one of the friends I go to when I want help with my readings.

In my message, I basically said, "I thought I was a good reader, but this reading makes no sense, and I wonder if the supermoon is blocking me?" By the way, this happened on the night of the supermoon.

So, I reluctantly tell my friend that my cards say that he ran off on purpose because he has a girlfriend and or got her pregnant, and he needs to think. She asked me to read for her, and I felt so bad because her reading basically said, "This starts off with bad news, but guess what your marriage wasn't doing so well, and you are about to go through emotional trauma. However, it all works out in the end." And I meant this, half my cards were talking about celebrating this later on. (Note: I am not going into specifics. The reading was a lot more detailed than that.)

This is why it can be hard to be a reader, because the cards tell the truth, and it's up to me to convey the message tactfully... or not. This is the first time I have ever doubted my cards, because even when they are not saying much, I can usually tell that what they are saying is right. This time I was like, "This can't be!"

It was though. She posted almost 12 more hours later, after she had just gone through the longest day of her life, that her husband was back, and that she must be stupid for caring about him when he was just "being him." She told me in a post that I had posted expressing concern and empathy for her, that my reading was right.

I feel bad for her, because I know she's hurting right now, but I also don't feel bad because her reading said everything was going to be great. They went on and on about how peachy keen this was all going to turn out. Once I stopped doubting them, this made sense. Life is all about learning lessons, and this was one of theirs.

So... just in case any of you are curious, here's the cards I use: The Gendron Tarot This is the deck I bought over 10 years ago now (and they look it, lol!); this is the deck I chose because as I looked through them, one of the cards was exactly the same as a drawing I drew when I was like 12. I wish I still had it, but it's long gone. However, when I showed the card to my sister and mother, they both exclaimed, "That's the picture you drew!" So, it's not just me who sees it, lol!

I thought I was only able to read with them. I've had them so long that I was sure other decks just wouldn't speak to me, but I have actually had the opportunity to read for others recently using their decks. I hadn't brought mine, and they said, "Here, use mine," and I did. I was blown away that they spoke to me just like my deck did.

You learn something new everyday!

I added a gadget at the top of my blog so that anyone who wants a reading from me can get one. Astrology charts and interpretations too. As I am on welfare, I totally understand not having money. Be aware that I posted what I felt was a fair price for my services, but if you really want/need a reading and can only pay so much, let me know and I will work with you.

OR agree to let me post the reading/interpretation on my blog, and I'll give a big discount!

Have a happy day!

  1. Tarot being able to tell the future is a misconception. I usually say that if the tarot does predict the future, it is based on if what is happening in the present continues to happen. If you change your course, the end result naturally will also change.

  2. I would be very interested in a reading, and I do not mind having it shared on your site as long as my identity is shown as crazygirl. I will consult with you in private my true name if you need it. I am on a very limited budget as I am a disabled veteran and my VA bene's are my sole source of support at the moment, but if we can schedule my reading around the 1st then payment for services would be easier :)
