Now I am completely and utterly out of jars, so if I make more wine or if the apple wine actually turns out (I don't think it will, it tastes weird), I'm going to need to buy more jars or - probably cheaper in the long run - buy more jars of fruit. The kind that comes in glass jars :-)Roxanne Packardhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18310049854784982846noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7848445365134677904.post-10521210962043405032013-08-22T08:45:56.911-05:002013-08-22T08:45:56.911-05:00UPDATE: My wine is ready to bottle!!! Of course, bottling will have to wait until I have time and enough container to it in, lol! :-)Roxanne Packardhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18310049854784982846noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7848445365134677904.post-39562784065209555472013-08-12T14:37:43.845-05:002013-08-12T14:37:43.845-05:00Update: Another taste test (I've been doing on...Update: Another taste test (I've been doing one every day because this batch is just so darn good, lol) has proven that it is STILL yummy and a bit on the sweet side. I'm guessing that the initial ferment has slowed a bit, but not completely because there are still a bunch of little bubbles rising to the top. It'll continue to sit on my counter and brew until I'm sure it's ready to bottle :-)Roxanne Packardhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18310049854784982846noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7848445365134677904.post-58062589444956760992013-07-29T04:53:21.660-05:002013-07-29T04:53:21.660-05:00Note: I did an initial taste test last night to ma...Note: I did an initial taste test last night to make sure that it was fermenting - as opposed to going bad - and it tasted like a wine cooler :-) It was mildly effervescent and still sweet, so we ended up drinking some. Hubby loves it because it didn't really taste alcohol-y yet, but it was still too sweet for me. Knowing that it had little to no alcohol in it yet, I gave the kids some and they loved it too, lol! So, I guess I could always get one of those little alcohol level testers, and bottle the next batch when it tastes like a wine cooler, lol! Of course, if I do that, I'll probably also want to lessen how much sugar I put in it to start with :-)Roxanne Packardhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18310049854784982846noreply@blogger.com
