The brown guck that is the yeast from the raisins needed to make the wine has proliferated and apparently gotten rid of its competitors. The taste of the wine is slightly better. All of this in just one day! Glad I didn't give up on it, lol!Roxanne Packardhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18310049854784982846noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7848445365134677904.post-86747398111916132662013-08-31T05:13:07.514-05:002013-08-31T05:13:07.514-05:00Note: this wine doesn't taste very good. I can see the expected brownish guck that is the yeast culture from the raisins, and the white Kahm yeast that is harmless and hasn't hurt any of my previous batches of wine, but this wine does appear to have a slightly fuzzy appearance to it and an off taste that makes me glad I did not spend a lot to make it. I do plan to keep an eye on it and see if maybe it is just going through an awkward phase and will turn out okay after all :-)Roxanne Packardhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18310049854784982846noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7848445365134677904.post-50689044720826328852013-08-23T11:13:13.194-05:002013-08-23T11:13:13.194-05:00I really don't know, but it would not surprise...I really don't know, but it would not surprise me!Roxanne Packardhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18310049854784982846noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7848445365134677904.post-44460239563505686942013-08-23T07:01:34.457-05:002013-08-23T07:01:34.457-05:00Do organic products have unlabelled preservatives ...Do organic products have unlabelled preservatives where you are?Tas'.noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7848445365134677904.post-25263836588402347022013-08-23T04:56:58.563-05:002013-08-23T04:56:58.563-05:00Apparently not :-) It's coming along pretty we...Apparently not :-) It's coming along pretty well, and since it is organic, I'm not entirely sure there are preservatives in it, I just assume that there are, lol!Roxanne Packardhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18310049854784982846noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7848445365134677904.post-74665094532036467042013-08-23T00:58:03.457-05:002013-08-23T00:58:03.457-05:00Surely the preservatives would kill the good bacte...Surely the preservatives would kill the good bacteria/yeasts that you want to grow?!?!?!?Tas'.noreply@blogger.com
